The Center for Orthotic & Prosthetic Care (COPC) has ten locations in Kentucky, Indiana, and North Carolina. COPC not only provides patient care to hospitals and physicians groups, but also specializes in assisting hospitals manage their orthotic and prosthetic (O & P) departments.

The Center for Orthotic & Prosthetic Care began in 1997 when Don Dixon, a retired ABC-certified orthotist and prosthetist (CPO) with 25 years experience, was asked if he could assist Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville, Ky., with financial and operational issues within its O & P Department.

Mr. Dixon assembled a team of professionals; Mike Mattingly, CPO, Keith Senn, and Tim Nutgrass, BOCP to analyze the issues & to develop and implement a strategic business plan.

Today the Kosair Children's O & P Facility is known as Center for Orthotic and Prosthetic Care, a privately owned venture company.

In less than 10 years time, COPC has expanded its services to include: Norton Medical Pavilion, Suburban East, & Kosair Charities Center in Louisville, KY; Spine Institute in Shelbyville, KY; Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort, KY; Shriners Hospital for Children in Lexington, KY; Duke University Medical Center, & Duke University Medical Center North in Durham, NC.; and centers in Raleigh, NC, and New Albany, Indiana.
